Bethania Wanderley (Maeve Jinkings) does not like the rural environment of the 'Zona da Mata', but has to return to the place where she was born, a decaying sugarcane mill, to prevent the former cane workers from taking over the land. Faced with the leader of the association, Z (Jos Maria Alves) and Alessandra (Dandara de Morais), who is cleaning the house to observe the owner, Bethnia will have to deal with his past and his prejudices.
